UK, the symposium Chemical Signals in Vertebrates IX will take place in Cracow, Poland. Starting in 1976 with a symposium at Saratoga Springs, New York, scientists interested in multidisciplinary studies of chemical signals (olfaction and taste) meet every 3 years in a different place of the world to discuss different aspects of chemical communication in all vertebrates including humans. During the Cracow symposium, plenary sessions and poster presentations will be arranged. Manuscripts for inclusion in the CSV - IX Symposium volume to be published will be reviewed: contributions will be included at the discretion of the Publications Committee More information is available in website: http://darwin.iz.uj.edu.pl/csv/ Location and dates The conference will be held at the Campus of the Jagiellonian University in the downtown of Cracow, within walking distance from hotels. University Guest Houses and a student dormitory. The meeting will run from July 25 to 30, 2000 Travel Cracow has a small international airport with direct flights to: Frankfurt. London. Zurich. Vienna. Rome, Hannover, and Paris, with the following Airlines represented: British Airway, Polish LOT, Swissair, Austrian Airlines, EuroWings, and Alitalia. There is a direct bus service between the airport and city: also taxis are easily available. The airport in Warsaw offers more flights There is a very good train connection between Warsaw and Cracow The Inter-City train from Warsaw to Cracow departs every hour between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. it takes less than 3 hours to get from Warsaw Central Station to Cracow.
